Disability Facility Loan
Home Many people find that they face the need to maintain or improve their property but this may be too costly to do without financial assistance. The CAPITAL APPRECIATION LOAN Scheme is available to those people who for personal reasons, or for reasons of Faith, do not wish to pay interest on a loan. However, this loan scheme is available to all, regardless of faith.

Capital Appreciation Loans

Contact the Housing Department of your Council if you would like to apply for a Capital Appreciation Loan and request that a referral to WHIL is made. Once the cost of the works have been identified and you have confirmed that you would like to be visited by a WHIL Home Loans Adviser, you will be contacted and a visit arranged to complete a financial assessment to ensure that the repayments are affordable and help you to complete the application form.
Security and risk
All loans are secured by using either an equitable mortgage or an equitable charge on the property. It is also registered at the Land Registry, meaning the property cannot be sold or change ownership without the WHIL loan being re-paid.

It is therefore important that you do not commit yourself to a loan which you cannot afford, as your home could be at risk. However, this would be a last resort and we would always try to find ways of resolving any repayment problems before considering any action.

IMPORTANT: YOUR HOUSE MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP
REPAYMENTS OF YOUR MORTGAGE OR LOAN SECURED UPON IT.
